CFC# 29 ~ From Our House to Yours!

Welcome! I popped by a neighbor's house while walking Max the other day and discovered she had taken a fall at work and is on crutches! So while taking a few minutes in my studio today I put together a quick card for her. This one follows the sketch from the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. Well sort of...I went a bit more rectangle then square, but I think you get the idea!!!

This gal is a home-ec teacher so I wanted to do a simple homespun card. This was quick and easy to put together with some snippets of scrap papers and a few Papertrey Ink felt die cuts. The felt is their harvest gold and the die cuts are from their Love Lives Here set. A few buttons from my stash and a sentiment from Hero Arts finish things up. This paper was so playful and colorful I didn't want to cover it up or make it too busy with a lot of stamping.

Thanks for taking a peek into my world today! ~Lisa

What a nice card to make for your neighbor. I like how you really let the patterned paper shine through. I don't have those love lives here dies, but every time I see them used, I am inching closer.

This card is so super sweet, Lisa...homespun is right and definitely heartfelt! Love the beautiful colors and the fabulous design on the background paper. Great combination with the felt and the buttons, too! You have a very Happy Thanksgiving as well! (I survived the food store...barely... :)

So sorry for your neighbor! Beautiful card - I am sure she will love it. I didn't order the Love Lives Here set when it first came out. But I purchased the Christmas version and I love it. Now, I keep seeing everyone use the original set, and I am for sure adding it to my cart on the next order! Great card, girl. ;-)
