It's WORD week at Just Us Girls and Bobby has chosen EMBOSS. Embossing folders, embossing powders... what to do, what to do! I went with embossing folders. Take a look...
When reaching for an old favorite doily embossing folder, I found I already had a piece of embossed white cardstock left in the folder from a previous project. So, I set out to frame it. This sweet frame (Fab Framed Die) by The Stamp Market was just the ticket. I added some of the cute little flowers included in the die set and one of their sentiments (Stamp N Cut Love Notes) too. The background embossing folder (Allover Stitches) is by Penny Black.

This is the first card I've made in a few weeks. All of my DT projects where done while we snuggled in surrounded by deep snow. My mom was in the hospital again for a few days and then a couple of weeks in a rehab facility for physical and occupational therapy. She's coming home today! We've been taking my dad each day to visit and taking care of his meals. Lots of doctor appointments for both of them has kept us busy too.
It felt good to get crafty. Visiting your blogs in the evening brings me inspiration too! Thanks so much for stopping by to visit!

Lisa, the combination of your embossed background, frame and sweet gingham flowers makes for a gorgeous card! Love it!
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear your mom is coming home; such a relief. Sending positive vibes your way...

ReplyDeleteI was just going to ask about your mom. She's had a time of it and I know it's stressful and tiring for all of you. But a blessing to have your parents near and so glad your mom is coming home. Wishing you strength, my friend. Your card is so lovely with the beautiful flowers and that wonderful frame! Missed the last challenge, but hoping to enter this one.

Glad your parents are together in one place now and hope things get back to "normal" or maybe a "new normal? Is there such a thing as normal?! I wonder that with my life! lol! Take care.
ReplyDeleteAwww, Lisa, you've been a busy girl and a dedicated, loving daughter. I know how much your mom and dad appreciate you. I'm glad to hear your mom is now well enough to come home. How pretty your card is! The frame hanging with the bow is aptly named because it is truly "fab", and how charming to have it bordered with the sweet gingham flowers!
ReplyDeleteLisa, you're a good daughter and I know your parents appreciate you so much. Glad you got some creative time in with all you are juggling. That frame looks so good on the embossed background and the flowers/bow dies are great details to boot. Such a pretty card!
