Just Us Girls #775 ~ Thanks

Isn't this a bright and happy Mood Board that Carol has given us to use at Just Us Girls this week? If you know me at all, you know I spotted polka dots in those paints! Here we go...

I stenciled a rainbow of polka dots then framed it with an embossed panel to mimic the look of those pencils all lined up. I topped the heart off with a pinked heart frame.

That stubby little pencil (Stamps by Judith) reminds me of our son when he was about 8 years old.  I saw him doing his homework one day with this itty bitty nub of a pencil. I said "Joey, I think we need to buy you some new pencils!"  He said "Nooooo I like using this one! It's my favorite!" Yes, just in case you're wondering... I still have that pencil!!!

How will Carol's photo inspire you?

I look forward to finding out!

  1. Sweet card Lisa and I love the pencil story! Reminds me of the Lisa Frank pencils my oldest used to hoard and I'm guessing she still has them somewhere! Haha!! Cute, cute card my friend!! Hugs. :0)

  2. You've drawn inspiration from several elements of the mood board and combined them into a most delightful, creative, fun card. The polka-dots, the heart, the striped embossing, the little pencil: an array of wonderful!

  4. Such a cute little polka-dot-y way to represent that mood board, Lisa!
Don't we save the darnedest things? I once showed my kids all the teeth the 'tooth fairy' had collected... they though it was the grossest thing imaginable!! [makes me wonder if they have done the same now that they are 'tooth fairies!'
