Happy Birthday!

Holy smokes has it been HOT! Too hot too fast for the beginning of summer, in my opinion. So, while the hubs took a well earned nap, I put together this little number for the Seize the Birthday challenge. Cathy has added silhouettes as the optional topping and I knew just what I wanted to use. Take a look...

This enchanting little boat by Lavinia (Liberty) has Bibi floating away as he plays his flute. They were stamped on an ink blended panel, colored with Copics then accented with the flowers and stars. The MB sentiment was not cooperating with being photographed. It does say happy birthday, in case you can't make it out!

Simple, sweet and perfect for one of our many family summer birthdays! Thanks so much for spending a little time with me today. I sure do appreciate it when you stop by!

  8. Oh, Lisa! This is as charming as any card I've seen using one of those Lavinia images!
Here's how I look at this heat: before long we'll be complaining about the cold and snow!

  9. You made good use of your hubby's nap time. Something that I do too. Enchanting is the best word for this card as it is impressive and brings thoughts of quiet sailing on water with the lilting sounds of music. Alluring card with the topping for this challenge. Thanks for linking up to Seize the Birthday Challenge.

  15. Awww, this is the sweetest thing, Lisa, and what a perfect choice for the silhouette topping! You did such a beautiful job with it. I haven't used my Lavinia stamps in quite a while. That's what happens when there is so much NBUS. Guess I can't complain.
