CFC #34 ~ Happy Winter!

Hi there! It's been a long time since I played along at CAS-ual Fridays with my hubby's surgery, holiday prep, the holidays and the post holiday regrouping! But I'm here to remedy that by putting this little number together!


My snowman is from Art Gone Wild and this sweet little snowflake is Impression Obsession. I've had these winter chipboard pieces for quite some time...sorry don't know who they're made by. I liked this one with the snowflake off to the side; it left room for me to stamp something on it. Everytime I use this Happy Winter sentiment from Paper Salon I chuckle to myself. The first time I used it on a card to my SIL (aka: stamping buddy) she remarked "There's nothing happy about a cold Ohio winter!" She's a fair weather kind of girl LOL!!! So I try to make a point of sending her a card with this on it every year ~ heee!

I colored my snowman and snowflakes with markers. Then I added a dot of Stickles to the centers of the snowflakes. One sparkly gem to dress up my chipboard and I think this might go in the mail to you know who ; )

    LOL ;-) I'm a fair weather kind of girl, too, so I TOTALLY understand your SIL's point of view! Love your adorable card. That snowman is just too cute, and I love the sentiment as well, even though I really don't appreciate Winter very much. ;-) Nice job!

    So cute. I have to agree with your SIL....nothing happy about.... Winter! LOL But the card makesme happy when I look at. Thank goodness for happy cards.

    So cute, that snowman is just the sweetest. Such a delightful card Lisa. I'm with your SIL on the winter thing, in Toronto there are 7 unhappy weather months a year. :( Thats why I stay in and stamp!

    Very cute Lisa! At first I thought the sentiment said "chappy winter" which made me laugh, since I've been hitting the chapstick pretty hard lately. Then I realized it was just a flourishy "h" on the word! Works either way!

    Lisa, this is SOOOOO ADORABLE!!! LOVE that sweet little snowman, the whimsical snowflakes, AND the sentiment (I LOVE winter here in the mountains, so HAPPY WINTER indeed!!!!)
