Time to pick out those dies to make a birthday card so you can play along with us this week at Just Us Girls! The beginning of a new month means we have a new guest designer. Welcome, Jeanne Jachna we're so happy to have you joining us!
I layered together a few goodies for today's card. A cute little cat (Poppystamps), a scrap of pretty patterned paper, an embossed panel, a darling polka dot balloon (the reverse of the floral paper) and a Memory Box sentiment tab. They all play well together but for some reason I'm on the fence about this one. Maybe the coloring on the cat? Hmmm... what do you think?
I think it all works perfectly together Lisa and the cat looks purrrrrrfectly fine to me! Sweet card my friend...love it!! Hugs. :0)
ReplyDeleteHow cute is that kitty 😀. Fun card
ReplyDeleteDarling! I adore that embossing and the cat is purr-fect!!!
ReplyDeleteWell, gee, the first thing I thought was how super cute and pretty it is! The cat and the paper look wonderful together. You always use such pretty colors. The embossed background is a delicate beauty, and I like your coloring of the cat. All good!
ReplyDeleteAww... what a sweet birthday card, Lisa. Wrapping the balloon string around the kitty's tale just adds the perfect little touch.
ReplyDeleteI think this card is fab! I love the embossed background, the pretty papers and gosh.. that twine wrapped around the kitty tail?! Eeek! So cute. Even little inky paws! Every last detail perfection!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Marcia: she's purrrfectly adorable and I love all the bits and pieces you've used together, Lisa!
ReplyDeleteI'm with you. I can't. put my finger on why it isn't flowing. I don't know if the cat is too white. A yellow Polka dot cat to match the balloon may give it a little whimsy and maybe not. We all have days like this where you just sit and stare at it and wonder. What embossing folder did you use? I absolutely LOVE it. If you get a chance please let me know what embossing folder that is. I want one. It's lovely. bunnycardmaker@gmail.com

ReplyDeleteSweet kitty, and she even knows how to hang onto that balloon! This is very sweet, Lisa
ReplyDeleteI think this is just as sweet as can be! Your little kitty playing with the balloon is darling.
ReplyDeleteAll your pieces work well together, Lisa. It's a 'you' card with the sweet kitten, polka dot and patterned paper, and a wonderful embossed background.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet little kitty with the balloon, the embossed background and snippet of DP are so pretty ♥
ReplyDeleteNo reason to be on the fence, Lisa: your card is marvelous. The kitty, the patterned paper, the embossed background, the balloon...it flows for me!

ReplyDeleteAwww - adorable whittle kitty with the balloon, Lisa! Love the embossed background too!!
ReplyDeleteSo much cuteness and creativity here Lisa. Love the balloon getting caught up on that sweet kitty. Awesome background.
ReplyDeleteLisa this is so pretty and that embossed background is absolutely amazing!
ReplyDeleteLisa... loving your whittle cat!
ReplyDeleteYour kitty and dotted balloon are so cute. I think they look great on the floral paper and the lovely embossed background. Great use of your dies.
ReplyDeleteI love this card, Lisa. Maybe what is giving you pause (pun intended), is that the embossing is not a frame that is even on top and bottom. To me, that is what makes it very interesting especially. with the balloon over the top edge of the patterned paper. I really love the way you wrapped the twine around one paw and the tail.I LOVE the coloring on the paws too.
ReplyDeleteThis is darling. I love the pattern paper behind that adorable cat. Perfect way to use the embossing folder.
ReplyDeleteI love the mix of the paper and the embossing. It's such a great background for that little guy and his balloon!
