Just Us Girls #768 ~ With Sympathy

It's stencil week at Just Us Girls! When trying to decide which stencil to use this time, I came across a small one from ARTplorations that hasn't seen much use.

Sadly, we were in need of a sympathy card. We lost a brother-in-law unexpectedly last week. I made this card for our nephew and his wife. A simple vase of violets (IO) was stamped then colored with a water pen. I did a bit of selective soft stenciling around them. The panel was cut with a Pinkfresh border then matted with coordinating blue cardstock. I love what the stenciling adds to this simple design!

2025 has proved to be a difficult year for us thus far. My dad had quite the ordeal with his heart valve replacement. After 2 months, he's finally home. My big brother lost his wife yesterday after an illness. We are all heartbroken. We also have a young family member (9 years old) in the hospital recovering from heart surgery followed by complications. I pray as we move into spring, things will improve.

Have a blessed day friends and hold on to those you love just a bit tighter today.

Hugs for the Flower Challenge

Good morning friends! I'm popping in for a quick minute before heading out to Mass. I couldn't let the 100th celebration over at The Flower Challenge pass by without sending them a big congratulations hug! They're looking for flowers and circles... here we go!

I saw a card design like this on Pinterest, I think. Not sure who the designer was, but it stuck in my mind and worked perfectly for this challenge. I embossed a panel of Sweet Blush (PTI) cardstock then covered it with a panel that had circle cut outs and a Wonky Stitched (MFT) border. My Poppystamps Nordic Blooms added more circles to the mix! The gold leaves came from the Nordic Fancy Blossom set and the green are PTI's lovely layers. A simply sentiment (IO) was all this needed.

Off she goes to the gallery and off I go to get ready for Mass!
Have a blessed day, friends.

Just Us Girls #767 ~ Happy Spring!

Hello and happy spring! I'm hosting our Mood Board challenge at Just Us Girls this week and picked this cheerful spring board for you to work with.

I've had a few of these little Paper Sweeties lamb die cuts in my stash for quite some time. I love to fill them with Stickles for a fluffy look! I popped this little lady onto a Spellbinders label with a little vine stamped along the bottom. I pulled that from the heart on the bottom right of the Mood Board. A few Poppystamp blooms were die cut along with a trio of teeny Poppy butterflies. The debossed base was sent to me by my sweet friend, Greta. You'll notice the little lamb on the Mood Board has gray behind it!

There you go, friends my happy spring wish to all of you! I hope you'll dig into your stash of spring goodies and join us this week. Lets pop over to the blog to see what our guest designer, Jeanne and my teammates have to share!

Just Us Girls #766 ~ Sweet

Were going green at Just Us Girls this week! Gosh, this word challenge has so many possibilities. It's sure to be a bright and cheerful gallery. I had a certain little Sweet P in mind when making my super simple card!

I already had the sentiment hot foiled and die cut. I simply popped it onto an embossed panel then added my darling little pea with a few golden sprigs tucked behind it. The pea is heat embossed and popped up on a foam dot.

Just a cutie little card to send to our best girl!

Your turn now. How will you use the word green?
