Just Us Girls #818

Hello friends! We have a new challenge up on the Just Us Girls blog. Ina is hosting and she has picked the SPOTLIGHT TECHNIQUE for you. The team has some amazing inspiration on the blog!

I'm taking this week off. We've been so very busy purging, packing and selling items from my parent's house for a few weeks now. Tomorrow, they make the move to Assisted Living. It's a big adjustment for them and an emotional time for all of us as we go through their things and all of the memories they bring. Thankfully they can take their own furniture and special things with them to make their new space feel like home. Mom has macular degeneration, so she's depending on me to get it decorated the way she likes it. I look forward to helping her!

Please excuse me as I take a break from commenting as well. All of this work has taken a toll on my hands & wrists.

Thanks for stopping by. Don't forget to check out what the team and our guest designer, Rosemary Dennis have to share. They'll knock your socks off!

I would imagine this is a very emotional time for you and them. All those years being sorted and condensed or relinquished. However, I believe it will turn out to be a happy thing as the weight and worry is lifted from all of you. It's probably a lovely place, and they'll make friends and enjoy their newfound comfort and freedom. Sending hugs and happy wishes!

I'm sure your parents are so thankful that you are helping them and sharing in the emotions. Hopefully you can focus on the happy memories and their new home will feel welcoming quickly. Sending prayers for all of you.

Huge change, but I'm sure it will be good once they're settled. Can't imagine all the work you're doing getting things ready. Know I'm thinking of you and wishing for peace in the midst of such a busy, stressful time. Hugs, Greta

A well deserved rest, It must be hard decluttering for your parents and will be an adjustment for them in assisted living.
I haven't been around for the last few weeks as I was in the UK visiting family and friends xx
