Sweet P makes a card!

Hello friends! I have a cute little card to share with you today made by Sweet P! I picked her up from school on Friday and we hung out for a wee bit before driving her to a birthday party. Mom let me know she had forgotten a card for the gift, so Sweet P decided she wanted to make one! I do apologize for the photo, it's a tad dark. We remembered while in the car on the way to the birthday party! I took a quick snap in the driveway!

Like our Sweet P, her friend loves to read. She said she wanted to stamp something with books and I remembered this cutie little Purple Onion bunny. She colored him with Copics then stamped the grassy rocks and wee butterflies. She wanted the bunny to be laying on his tummy in the grass, so she colored him a little patch with a Copic marker. After stamping the sentiment, she thought some clouds would look good. I said why not stencil some? "Okay gramma, that sounds like fun!" Lets just say, that was her favorite thing to do and her favorite part of the card!

I think it's adorable and her friend Harper loved it! 

Just Us Girls #703 ~ Leaves and Pumpkins Please!

Hi there! It's CAS week at Just Us Girls. Nancy is asking us to use just the center of our cards. Take a look at this little number I put together for Sweet P. I tucked it into her monthly Highlights magazine!

I found this cute little jack-o-lantern in with some fall snippets. I popped him onto a polka dot rectangle, also in those snippets! A few leaves, gems and the perfect PTI sentiment finished it off. Sweet P does love Halloween, so I think she'll enjoy this card. She plans to go as a pirate this year! 

Lets see... she's been

a dragon, a bumble bee, Minnie Mouse, Daniel Tiger, Luna Loud from the Loud House, Darth Vader, and Maverick! Quite an assortment!

I can't wait to see her version of Captain Jack Sparrow!

When I saw that Seize the Birthday was having a "Be Inspired by a Book" challenge, I had an idea immediately! 

This should be pretty recognizable! Charlotte and Wilbur are sending happy birthday wishes! The Poppystamps Country Barn and Whittle Pig came in handy for this one. I had a panel on hand with some shiplap (TE) already stamped on it. It provided me with a good inside for the barn. Then I used the scraps to cut the outside trim. I coordinated the IO grass border and ME bows with Charlotte's eyes!

At the end of this school year, our Sweet P played the part of Narrator #1 for her second grade class play of Charlotte's Web. She nailed it and looked totally adorable all decked out in a little suit!

Super Baby!

You can all sleep soundly tonight, there's a new super hero in town!

Sweet P's New Book!

So I bought Sweet P a new book of nursery rhymes yesterday. After reading it to her twice she took over the book. She flipped through the pages very seriously going back and forth to certain rhymes.

Today she sat down on her own with the book and began to say the rhymes herself!! After re-visiting her favorites, she started running around the house telling me about Humpty Dumpty and The Itsy Bitsy Spider over and over with so much excitement! 

I love hearing her sweet little voice saying new words and reciting the rhymes in her own special way. You should hear her tell the story of Corduroy ~ GAH!!!

My apologies for things being a bit quiet around here! We had a busy holiday weekend spending quality time with family. I have some cards in the works for this week. But until then I thought I would share the birthday gift we gave to Sweet P!

She loves to climb up on my piano bench to tickle the ivories. So a toddler sized piano was in order! Word has it that she runs around playing with her toys, then takes a music break, plays some more, music break...you get the picture!! She also piled all of her stuffed toys on it to play them a song or two ♥!

The 12 Kits of Occasions ~ August Kit!

Hi there! Guess what? I'm this month's hostess at The 12 Kits of Occasions!! I had such a good time putting together my August kit called {Sweet Pea}! The kit began with my Sweet Pea stamp set. I added in some Pure Innocence images that fit the theme. The papers and die cuts are a mix of pretty pinks, fresh greens, marshmallow whites and sparkly gold. All things sweet and girly! Kit supplies can be found on the 12 Kits blog. I'll mention any extras I added to my designs.

I designed this kit with someone very special in mind. After all, she was the inspiration for my Sweet Pea stamp set.

Okay, now on to my cards created from the kit!! I made LOTS so I will be breaking this up into two posts. One today and one tomorrow! Here we go...

The only thing extra on this card is the PTI Tag Sale Quilted Die. I also used my Mama Elephant die to cut the shimmery pink and vellum panels. 

This sassy number received a polka dot embossed card base and a paper pieced dress! Check out her little sparkly shoes. I have a hole punch that made the perfect gold buttons for them!

Don't you just love pillow boxes! Perfect for little gifts, candy, gift cards or money. I added three fussy cut DeNami Design leaves here. 

One extra smiling sweet pea was added here!

This one received a fun embossed card base!

My last one for today has an extra grass border added for depth. That little hole punch made a tiny button for her overalls too!

An Afternoon with Sweet P!

Hey there! Just popping in with a couple of photos today. Sweet P came to spend the afternoon with me!! We had lots of hugs, giggles and snuggles. I've had a few of you requesting a photo, so here you go...

She was extremely busy with her puzzles and couldn't take the time to look at grandma for a picture LOL!! After all, there was a cow to be mooed at an an owl to be hooted at!!

She dumped them out for round two!! When she's decided she's finished, she stacks them one on top of the other and moves them aside LOL!!

Elmo!

I just had to share with you my very first colored picture (work of art) from Sweet P! This was in my Mother's Day card from her and it's priceless I tell ya!! Not bad for a 17 month old!!

This tiny person is the light of my life!!

Your see the bottle she's carrying...it's bubbles. We don't blow them much anymore, she just likes to carry them around!! 

She's standing under a weeping cherry tree in her yard. It's a memorial tree given to our daughter-in-law from the teachers and staff at the elementary school she teaches at when her mother passed away a few years ago. So special to see Sweet P touching the leaves and smiling.

Sweet P!

I've had a few requests for an Easter photo of Sweet P! Once the little ones start walking photos become more difficult to capture LOL! She's always on the move. But I did manage to get a couple...enjoy!

This is her "I'm full, and I'm tired pose"!! 

Listening to her favorite music with a moment or two of stillness!!

She had on the sweetest little white sandals with bows. 

But it's more fun to play when you're barefoot!!

And this is "her rolling around on the floor" Easter hairdo!! 

Doesn't matter, she's gorgeous anyway you look at it!!

Sweet P!

Hello friends! Sorry to have been MIA this week. Hubby had to send his camera in for a repair. I took some card photos with my iPhone, but I didn't like the way they looked. His camera came back today, so I'll be back in business soon! 

How about a photo of my beautiful blued eyed granddaughter to hold you over!! Oh that sweet little face...love this tiny one to bits!
