Just Us Girls #819

Hi, friends! Bobby has a fun spring Mood Board for you at Just Us Girls today. Pretty appropriate for my neck of the woods where we are having crazy warm temps and rain! I have a cute CAS card for you today, lets take a look.

I recently bought this sweet Anita Jeram bunny on sale CCC. He's Copic colored, die cut and popped onto a raindrop embossed background (TE). A simple little hello sentiment and a few rhinestones finished things off.

Still trying to find our normal around here. We got mom and dad moved into their new digs and they're very happy. My brother took them out for the morning/early afternoon while the hubs and I dealt with the movers and unpacking. We had everything unpacked and set up before they arrived. My mom walked in and was beaming! She kept saying "Oh, I like it, I really like it!!"  They had been their twice before, but it was just an empty apartment setting. Seeing their own things there made a huge difference.

We listed their house on Friday and it sold on Monday! Holy smokes! We're seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, though. Thank you for all of your sweet comments, prayers and to those who sent cards or emails. You're all the best!

I look forward to seeing your cards in our JUGs gallery and hopefully getting back to visiting your blogs soon!

Happy Holidays

Hey there! I have a cute bright and happy holiday card to share today. This one is headed to the Inkspirational challenge. They're looking for Knit/Knitted items.

I think sweet little Birch's (POD) hat qualifies. But just in case, I stenciled a TE knit background too! I cut Birch out using a MFT Stitched Circle die then popped him onto an old PTI Mat Stack die. I thought topping it with this big glitzy bow made it look like an ornament! A sprinkling of PPP tiny stars and a gold embossed sentiment from one of their older sets adds more holiday pizazz. Everything went onto a base made from Poppystamps Pool Party cardstock.

Speaking of Poppystamps cardstock, have you checked it out? Not only does it work beautifully for your die cuts, but the weight is perfect for a nice sturdy card base!

Okay, back to the couch for me. I've got a cold with a no fun cough attached. The hubs has taken charge and ordered me to go rest!

Just Us Girls #777 ~ Sending Hugs

Hey there! It's time for a new challenge at Just Us Girls. Here's what I put together for 'CASE a Design Team Member' week!

This little cutie is a left over from a long ago 12 Kits of Occasions kit. Our rainy spring seemed a good time to finally get it colored and used. I lightly stenciled some gray rain clouds onto a white panel (they do show up better IRL!), stamped some tall grass (Impression Obsession) along the bottom, cut it out with a Pink & Main Cloudy Frame then embossed it with some Taylored Expressions raindrops. My card base is Poppystamps Deep Turquoise paper and the sentiment from The Stamp Market. Lots of companies used to create this one!

Pop on over to the JUGs blog to check out what the team has to share. Pick out a card to CASE and join us, we love it when you do!

Just Us Girls #722 ~ Get Well Soon

Hello and welcome! I'm hosting over at Just Us Girls for Word Week. I thought RAIN was an appropriate word for April. I'm hoping that's not the case for the entire month. Sweet P started softball practice yesterday! And guess what? Her daddy is her coach!! They are both beyond excited. He played baseball from T-ball all the way through high school. As luck would have it a spot opened up and he jumped at it. This is going to be a fun season!

Okay, you came here for a card, so here you go!

I pulled out some older products to play with for this card. A rain drop embossing folder by TE was my jumping off point. The panel was framed with a P&M cloudy die cut then topped with an umbrella and clouds from PPP's Rainy Days stamp and die sets. A quick and simple card to send get well wishes.

I hope you can find time to play along with us this week, we love it when you do!

Happy Birthday

When I saw that Seize the Birthday was having a "Be Inspired by a Book" challenge, I had an idea immediately!

This should be pretty recognizable! Charlotte and Wilbur are sending happy birthday wishes! The Poppystamps Country Barn and Whittle Pig came in handy for this one. I had a panel on hand with some shiplap (TE) already stamped on it. It provided me with a good inside for the barn. Then I used the scraps to cut the outside trim. I coordinated the IO grass border and ME bows with Charlotte's eyes!

At the end of this school year, our Sweet P played the part of Narrator #1 for her second grade class play of Charlotte's Web. She nailed it and looked totally adorable all decked out in a little suit!

Sending You Smiles

Hey there! Popping in today for a quick minute with a card for The Paper Players. When I see a challenge with a rain promp this little fella comes to mind!

Now I ask you, what could be cuter than a frog in a rain slicker and wellies?  Maybe one surrounded by sweet little flowers! I bought this frog stamp years ago at a stamp convention from Art Gone Wild. The cutie little flowers are by Impression Obsession. Probably picked up at the same convention. I had the raindrop embossed (TE) panel with the circle cut-out on hand. Remnants from a previous project I guess! A playful sentiment banner topped things off.

Off he hops to the gallery!

Sorry to hear...

Hi there! We have a new challenge up at Just Us Girls today. It's one of the changes we made to our challenge schedule. You can pick anything you want from the moodboard. One of the photos, colors, combine a few. Whatever suits your fancy... or mood!

Here's a closer look.

And here's my take on it!

The first thing that caught my eye was the rain followed by the daisies. It seemed like the umbrella was pointing them out! We've actually had more rain than snow for this Ohio January. Mild temps too and this girl is not complaining!

I used a TE raindrop EF on a taupe panel. Next I popped on the cup and saucer (Wplus9) and the trio of daisies (SSS). I did a little surgery on them to cut off the stem and leaf.

This one will go to a friend who's been having a rough way to go health wise for a few weeks now. I hope it lifts her spirits!

We hope you'll join us this week to give this new challenge a try!

Peace, Love & Joy

Mmmmm, the house smells like pumpkin pie! Hope I can hold out until Thursday! In the mean time, I've distracted myself with a little card making. I have one today for The Paper Players.

I did a little partial stenciling (Taylored Expressions) so that I still had lots of white space. I popped up the gnome (RC), added a couple of die cut stars and a simple holiday sentiment. Another easy one to add to my stash!

Thanks for taking a peek!

Inspired By #195 ~ White Christmas

"I'm dreaming of a white Christmas"... and then the snow can go away LOL! Although I could go for some snow like that in our Inspired By photo. You don't have to shovel or snow blow paper snow!

You guessed it, I was inspired by those pretty white snowflakes! The pine trees also caught my eye.

 My hubby called this one a cold card... brrr!!

This pretty snowflake panel was another 12 Kits leftover. I turned it into a shaker filled with frosty bits from PPP. My Taylored Expressions ship-lap stamp provided a soft background. Keeping the promise I made to myself to use older stamp sets this year, I added two trees from PTI's Holiday Folk set. I think I've overlooked this set for too long. You'll probably be seeing more of it in the coming weeks! And yes, I did slip in another of my favorite sentiments from The Greetery!

Okay friends, put on your mittens and get frosty with us!

Farewell Twofer Card Challenge

When I saw my friend Darnell was ending her Twofer Card Challenge, I knew I had to find time to bid it farewell. Then when I saw the theme was dog/cat, I knew just the dog I would use... my mini schnauzer, of course!

Card #1

First up is a simple card. The sentiment was on a piece of PP. I simply framed (RC) it out then added the hearts and pup. I've colored my pup to look like our mini Max. I still miss that sweet little guy and he'll always have a place in my heart.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
 *EDIT: I hope you stop back, Nonnajoy I had no contact info. The mini schnauzer stamp is from a company called Bugawumps that is no longer in business.
Card #2
My second card is a playful one with a trio of shy little pups peeking out to wish someone a happy birthday. I used a TE mini slimline die, stamped and fussy cut the mini schnauzers then stamped and sprinkled on some stars.
Bravo to you and your team, Darnell for the four incredible years of the Twofer challenge! MWAH!
Inspired By #161 ~ Pretty as a Pitcher
Hi friends! We have a new challenge up at  Inspired By.
While I find that pink metal pitcher quite lovely, I had absolutely nothing to replicate it with. But that's the charm of our challenge, it's what inspires you. I was inspired by the tall thin flowers in the pitcher and the shiplap in the background.
My shiplap is Taylored Expressions, flowers Altenew, tag Pretty Pink Posh and sentiment Papertrey Ink. I think these companies all play well together!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So how will you be inspired?

I look forward to finding out!

Hey There

Good morning friends! I'm playing along with The Flower Challenge today. They're asking that we use our latest purchases along with their usual flowers.

I like all of the slimline cards I've been seeing around blogland, but I wasn't thrilled with the size. You see, I have a fondness for small things! Then I found Mini Slim dies at Taylored Expressions. The circle die came to live at my house and it's adorable! I've paired it with my new Altenew Mini Delight: Petite Posy Stamp & Die Set. Then I sprinkled on a few of my favorite rhinestones and this little card made me happy in a big way!

Have a great weekend. Stay safe and stay warm!
