Make it Monday #24:Dry Brushing!

When I went grocery shopping the other day I couldn't help but notice the back to school supplies had filled the aisles! My daughter-in-law is so enjoying her summer and trying to put off preparing for the upcoming school year just a bit longer! So with her; my sweet first grade teacher in mind, I made this card for the Papertrey Ink Make it Monday Challenge.

I applied the dry brush technique to the polka dot paper as well as the frame die cut. The paper is from the Cosmo Cricket: Circa 1934 6x6 mini deck...don't you just love Cosmo Cricket!!! - Fun stuff!!!  I've used a fillable frames additions I  stamp & #4 die along with the Fruit Fusion: apple stamp & die both from PTI.  I attached an alphabet charm from Tim Holtz for a dash of flair.

Thanks for stopping by it's greatly appreciated!  I hope you have a chance to check out all of the other great cards over at PTI ~ Lisa

I love the vintage feel that your dry brushing gives to the card! The papers are so pretty, and the colors are fabulous. Love that apple and charm, too! I can't believe it's almost time for kids to go back to school. :-S

Thanks so much for your comments on my MIM blog posts. I appreciate them! ;-)
