I've used some snippets of my absolute favorite paper ever (from My Minds Eye: tres jolie - bonjour) on this card! This was one of those that I loved the color and have had forever because it was just too pretty to cut! I hear all of you laughing out there...you know how we paper girls are!!! I've also used my very first rubber stamp...this sweet little bear from PSX. I bought this eons ago before I even knew what to do with a rubber stamp; just because it was cute! Oh how crafty I was trying acrylic paint and who knows what else only to have a blobby mess...oh my gosh I feel sooooo silly now!
But you see; the reasoning behind buying it was purely sentimental. It caught my eye and tugged on my heartstrings because it reminded me of my son's teddy bear I had given him when he was 4 ~"Lucky Bear". A new order was delivered to the florist where I worked and this sweet little bear with his little round tummy was among the items in the box. I knew my baby boy would love him. So when I picked him up from pre-school; I presented him with his new buddy. His sparkly blue eyes lit up as he wrapped his tiny arms around this teddy bear and proclaimed "mommy let's call him Lucky Bear because I'm lucky you brought him to live with me!" I know, I know...ahhhhh!!!!!
So let me introduce you to our sweet little Lucky Bear...who has been with us all these years!!! ~Lisa

Awww! What a sweet story. My daughter has a pink gingham bear that she's had since birth, named Pinky. She's 7 and still sleeps with it, even though it's tattered beyond repair. Love your card and I can see why you've held off cutting that paper. It's beautiful. But, you did put it to good use :)
Very sweet card Lisa! Oh yes, I shudder when I have to cut some of my fave DP!
What a lovely card! Such pretty background colors and textures, and I love the Lucky Bear story--cute!
Thanks for stopping by my blog :) and what a sweet story about your son and his bear. My bear as a child was a panda bear, I named him "bear bear" and he is now so torn to pieces I have to keep him in our hope chest! I love what you did with the sketch, and it is so hard to use paper you love!
