PDCC99

Hello friends hope everyone had a good weekend! We had pretty fall weather here in Ohio. We took advantage of it with long walks and a bike ride. Max is one happy pup with his outdoor time and the ride in his bike basket! I did get a bit a crafting in and made a couple of cards. The first is for the Play Date Cafe color challenge. I must admit I was stumped at first with the colors of lavender, pale yellow and white. Sounds easy enough until I sat down to get to work and couldn't decide on the stamps!!! After a few failed attempts I came up with this idea and I think it worked...you'll have to let me know!

The envelope and corner stamps are Impression Obsession. I colored the envelope with lavender and yellow chalks for soft look. The PTI postage stamp die has an Anna Griffin flourish and a PTI sentiment. The text and polka dot papers are lilybeedesigns: picket fence. The blooms are PTI dies cut from their vintage cream felt. I added a bit of lavender chalk to the edges of each bloom. The solid cardstocks, ribbon, fibers, button and gems are all things I had on hand. That's it for now! ~Lisa

Oh, yes--it worked all right! Absolutely love your coloring of the envelope--it looks so professional! Your embellishments are just lovely too. These are such pretty colors, I might have to play with them too!

OHHH! I love that flower and ribbon embellie! Great idea to use a bit of chalk for highlights! LOOOOVE the papers and your papers-just GORGEOUS! Great card all around:) And you are not the only one who tries several times with color stories--sometimes I have to make two or three cards before I get the one I want to share:) So no worries! THANKS so much for joining in the fun and playing along with us over at the PDCC!

I am soooo behind on my blog reading and commenting since vacation! You have been a busy, busy woman here. So many fabulous and beautiful and fun card creations.

And this one, it definitely works! I am always stumped on using purple, and yellow, and orange, come to think of it. This card is so lovely, and a perfect use of these colors. Love all the little elements that add up to a big beauty. ;-) Great job!

I know, Lisa, I had a bit of trouble with this color combo too. It IS lovely, but when it came to stamping, I just had difficulty. I like how you worked a cluster of pretties together, like the mini envelope, stamp (with Anna Griffin, my fave!), ribbons and flowers. Very pretty. Thanks SO much again for leaving me a comment on the post about my daughter. It meant a lot to me. :) And thanks for sharing your card with us at The Play DAte CAfe!
