Make it Mondays #37: Layered Mats & Frames!

Hi there! I'm back today with a card for the latest Papertrey Ink Make It Mondays challenge. My neighbor/friend has an upcoming surgery so I thought I would get a jump on making her a card. This is my take on the challenge!

I started with a cream card base then added DPs from the Cosmo Cricket: Togetherness  6x6 collection. After die cutting the Spiral Notebook Page die; I cut the Love Lives Here house die into it and adhered it to the card. Next I cut a second and third house die using the base from one & the roof from the other and using foam tape for dimension added it to the card. My frame was made using oceans tides felt from two of my Limitless Layers dies. The Double-Ended Banner die holds my sentiment from the Love Lives Here: Holiday stamp set. The trio of itty bitty hearts on my house roof are also from this set. It might sound like a lot of steps but this card came together really fast! Thanks for taking the time to visit ~Lisa

Oooo, those are yummy colors, and I like your choice of die cuts. Great combination of patterns, too! And the tiny hearts pull it all together so well. I'm sure she will love it!

To answer your question about the die used on my card: it was a Tim Holtz/Sizzix/On the Edge die called Brackets; I got it at my local Michaels. It has two different bracket shapes you can use on the edge of a card. Hope this helps!

Adorable card! You just won't believe what my "old" eyes first saw when they looked at your card -- instead of the Spiral Notebook Page die cut, they saw an old-fashioned curtain that had the "cotton ball" tassels! I can't stop laughing about how it took them a minute to focus!!
