I must admit we are having one truly amazing Sunday...amazingly lazy HA!!! It's rainy and chilly out today. So after church and some lunch we put on the lazy day comfy warm sweats, threw the quilt over us on the couch and watched a wonderful show on the National Geographic channel about blue whales. Talk about amazing...what a fascinating animal they are. Next up was a program on the Galapagos Islands. They were formed from violent volcanic eruptions in the sea; lava, lava, lava! Now hold on there a sec...lava, whales and oceans. Is it just me or is it truly amazing how all of these things fit into the color scheme at The Play Date Cafe this week ~ rust, storm and deep sea!!!
I made this card yesterday; funny how the pieces of our lives and this world fit together. Anyway...I started with the grey cardstock base and stamped fall leaves around the edges using an onyx ink from Autumn Leaves. Next I added a strip of paper from My Mind's Eye: Mabel 6x6 pad. Then I stamped some leaves onto this fun tag from K&Company along with the sentiment. I used Spellbinders: labels 18 for my rusty orange panel (also from MME: Mabel ). Can you believe this chipboard button had two of the required colors!! Want some more truly amazing information...I scored a Spellbinders Grand Calibur from Joanns for 1/2 price ~ coupon...cha-ching!!! Oh yeah...who's doin the happy dance now!!! Used a 40 percent off coupon for the die too (hehe) AMAZING!!! See ya ~Lisa

And I agree about the small, subtle ways our lives work with things around us. All we have to do is open our eyes. I think your card is a perfect tribute to this.
