CR84FN #45 ~ 2012!

Welcome! With this being my first card of 2012; I thought I would make a card with my new Quickutz number dies to celebrate the new year. Aren't these fun! I'm playing along with CR84FN's color challenge of medium blue, orange and yellow.

I started off with a yellow gingham paper from Authentique stamped with a few DeNami flourishes. I added my orange die cut numbers and embellished them with some felt flowers and buttons from my stash. I had to dig to find something medium blue! I finally found one little scrap of paper and used it for my new sweet mini rolled rose die from My Favorite Things. LOVE this to pieces!!!  I had one snippet left so I made a PTI tiny tag to even out the color distribution. The strip of orange border peeking out at the top are actually the bottoms of my new PTI heart border die. (Have you figured out that I got some stamping goodies for Christmas ~ hee!!!) And the number paper along the top is also from Authentique. My little celebrate sentiment is an A Muse stamp. A couple of doily scraps and a sprinkling of orange gems help me to ring in my new year of card making!

Thanks for stopping by today ~Lisa

Oh girl, you totally rocked this color challenge! Wait til you see my card for it, you'll laugh like a little school girl. ;-) I did, anyway. I think I actually have an allergy to orange and yellow, and I think it's quite serious.

Anyway! Your card is gorgeous. Love the gingham with the heart border die (fabby!), and those little flowers, and the way you worked in that blue... You rock, girl. ;-)
