PDCC # 113 ~ A mix of old and new!

Hello fellow bloggers! What's up with the weather...Ohio January days in the 40's & 50's???!!! No complaining here! I would much rather take Max for long walks on January days like that than deal with short walks in the snow and ice. Speaking of ice; aren' t the colors from the Play Date Cafe's color story this week icy cool, crisp and oh so fresh ~ vanilla, juniper and mint! Dreamy indeed.

I thought I would break out a few more new goodies and pair them up with some older goodies. I added a strip of mint stripe paper from the new MME Lost and Found: Rosy to an ivory cardstock base then layered on a new PTI filigree border and some sweet ivory fabric flower trim. This pretty (but older) spruce tree by Hero Arts was stamped next followed by my new PTI: Love Lives Here house and grass. I've had the dies for months, but just got the stamp set. I really like it too, so many great little goodies included! The tiny pebble path is an older Art Impressions stamp. I think it's supposed to be a flower of some sort but I always use it for rocks!!! I die cut another of my new MFT: Well Worn Greetings dies from some Cosmo Cricket: Circa 1934 polka dot paper. Two PTI: Limitless Layers dies were added to it with some pearls and a sentiment from Impression Obsession. I think that covers it...just a sweet card with a mix of old and new!

Thanks for taking the time to visit ~Lisa

Oh, Lisa--what lovely soft colors! You have incorporated them into your design so skillfully; I especially like the effect of the lacy diecut against the striped patterned paper. And of course your signature polka dot die cut!

This is really lovely Lisa, love the vintage feel. I see you are enjoying your new goodies. I really need to Love Lives Here because whenever I see it it is so amazing. What a terrific palette at Play Date.

And...a good card maker! I love this little stamped scene you created, and the gorgeous lace-upon-border punch.
