PDCC #127 & FMS #30 ~ Happy Birthday!

Welcome! Guess what...it's my one year blog birthday tomorrow!!! To mark the occasion I have a birthday card today for two challenges. I've used the oh so happy colors from the Play Date Cafe and a great sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.

The ladies in their colorful swim suits and the shape of the kites were my jumping off points. I started with a selection of paper from My Mind's Eye: Out of the Blue. I think it suits the color combination for this week perfectly. I chose the diamond pattern paper to mimic the kites and the polka dots to mimic the circles in the bottom right corner of the photo. I used my PTI scalloped border die on the chunky polka dot paper. Next I layered a pretty paper doily topped with a Marvey scalloped circle punch and then a Marvey circle punch. This circle is stamped with a stitched border stamp from Endless Creations and then my favorite little girl (from Ann-ticipations) in her polka dot swimsuit. Isn't she just the sweetest little thing! The tiny flower gems are by Hero Arts. This cute wavy birthday sentiment is from Stampin' Up.

I'm glad you stopped by and I hope you'll be back! Have a splendid weekend ~Lisa
