DD #4 ~ Always On My Mind!

Hello and a happy Saturday to all! Today we have a monochromatic theme for week #4 at Dynamic Duos ~ Bashful Blue and Marina Mist. One colour different hues!

When I saw this colour combo I knew I wanted to use my sweet little hydrangea stamp (Inkadinkado) that I bought while visiting Cape Cod a couple of years ago. My absolute favorite part of that trip was our day on the enchanting island of Nantucket. What a dreamy place this is!!! Oh my goodness did I fall in love with it! The cozy little grey salt box cottages with white picket fences, the smell of the sea, the cobble stoned Main Street, quaint eateries and shops ~ I could go on and on. One vivid memory was that of the stunning hydrangeas that were in full bloom during our visit. My card depicts this sweet memory that I will forever hold dear to my heart.

I stamped my hydrangea along the card's edge and onto my PTI picket fence die cut. I layered 4 colors onto them with colored pencils to capture the Marina Mist colour. I foam mounted my fence to the polka dot paper cut with a PTI mat stack 4 die. This sentiment (seperated with selective inking) is from Stampin Up and the little flower gems came from Archivers.

I hope you have a chance to play along with us and visit my fellow Dynamos this week! Don't forget you have until noon on Thursday to link your card. Please be sure to read the challenge rules carefully friends and have a delightful holiday weekend! ~Lisa

Such a pretty card, Lisa! These are my favorite flowers and just adorable with the fence. Chatham and Martha’s Vineyard are places I have been and they have many of the same scenes. Just beautiful! Enjoy the rest of your long weekend.
