DeNami June Blog Hop ~ Ahoy!

Welcome friends, you should be arriving here from multi talented Pattie Goldman's blog. If not no worries you can catch up at the DeNami blog so you don't miss any of the fun. This month we're honoring the fellas in our life with cards for guys!

As I've stated before in my blog the men in my life like to be on the water whenever they can. So I put together a cute little number using the Nautical Petit Four set. I think this might be one of my favorite DeNami sets, just love those adorable tiny images!

I started my card by die cutting a circle in the center of 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" kraft cardstock. Next I placed a piece of scrap paper under the opening and made my pencil lines for even placement of my anchors. I know I could have made pencil marks on the card, but this was easier...no erasing! This sweet little anchor and the compass rose were stamped with fresh snow ink. My teeny weeny star and sentiment were stamped with pure poppy ink. The colorful star paper is from the My Mind's Eye: Out of the Blue collection.

I tied an authentic figure eight nautical knot ~ Whoo-Hoo!!! I found a picture online and this seemed the easiest knot to follow! I love what it adds to the card, cute huh!  Next on the hop is the delightful Suzanne Bier!

Check out my little Max in the center of a BIG compass rose! ~Lisa
