Dynamic Duos #8 ~ Sending You Love!

Good morning! We have a peaceful and earthy monochromatic combo for week #8 at Dynamic Duos; River Rock and Always Artichoke. It's been such a pleasure visiting your blogs and studying your cards over the past weeks. Keep 'em coming you're doing a great job and making the winners picks tough! Here's a little something I hope will inspire you this week.

I set out to make a cozy earthy card and this pretty little country church from The Artful Stamper seemed perfect for this idea. I stamped it with sepia ink onto my River Rock cardstock then a second time to give me the lower door portion of the church to cut out and pop up. My tall pine trees and shrubbery are colored with colored pencils and chalk. I've added some little dots and colored the bell with a Gelly Roll glitter pen for added interest. Old gold brads were added to each corner and this panel was layered onto the Always Artichoke card base with foam tape. My DeNami sentiment and Magenta flourish are embossed in gold.

I bought this church stamp at the stamping convention this year and am so happy with it. I think it will work well for many occasions...weddings, sympathy, religious events and oh my can you picture Christmas cards!

Blessings on your weekend I hope to see your card in our gallery this week! Please stop by to say hi to my fellow Dynamos ~Lisa

Very cute! This is the perfect color combo for a woodsy church scene--how lucky to have the stamp! I will have to give this duo a try, if I can find something to sub for River Rock--might have to improvise!

What a sweet little chapel in the woods, Lisa! Great way to use this color combo, too. I might actually have an idea for this DD challenge...don't know why, but the Melon Mambo and black just threw me, and I couldn't think of anything.
