PP #101 & CQC #143 ~ Celebrate today!

Hi there! What a gorgeous couple of days we've had...low 70s and blue skies! My sweet little Max is feeling better so we've been enjoying the weather and celebrating our days with nice long walks. After his walks he likes a nap, so I sat down to make a card for the Papers Players and ColourQ challenges.

I started with a Basic Gray card base then layered on a panel of Lily Bee Design: double dutch gingham paper. Following the sketch I then added this weathered wood panel from My Mind's Eye: Dolled up. I love that it already had flowers in the colors I needed. Using my Papertrey Ink star dies I cut one from Pacific Point (stamped in fresh snow ink with a little SU star), one red and finally one in PTI: Harvest Gold felt. The rows of polka dots along the top are done in pure poppy ink using a MME stamp. A touch a twine and a PTI: fillable frames sentiment finish it off.

I think this one has a country look that could be used for the fourth of July, birthday or any event worth celebrating...like those relaxing walks that let me enjoy God's many gifts to us. One of those being my ridiculously adorable Max!

Blessings on all your days friends, thanks for visiting ~Lisa

So glad Max is doing better. The mites in his food…. could you see that with your own eyes…. just wondering if I should be looking for that too. Our pets sure are blessings in so many ways.
Adorable card and yes I do see it being used for 4th of July. Love the look of it and the yellow gingham is perfect!

This card is FANTASTIC, Lisa. ;-) I absolutely LOVE it! The rustic feel to it is so fun, and those stars are so, so perfect. My grandpa's birthday is July 5th, so it is always fun to create something red/white/blue themed for him, especially since he served in WWII, also. Love what you've created here. ;-)
