Dynamic Duos #12!

Welcome! Another Saturday is upon us and that means another color combo at Dynamic Duos. You're invited to a black tie event this week where the color theme is Poppy Parade, Basic Black and a dessert option of punches. I thought I would bring along a quite dapper little fella to the event! After all  he looks like he's wearing a tuxedo, has a great coiffure and perfectly groomed eyebrows!

I just love this fun Bugawumps stamp that looks like my sweet little Max. He's layered onto Spellbinders Labels 10 die cuts and colored using Crayola colored pencils! I have a tin of colored pencils and SO many of them are from my son's school days! The Crayola ones work great on my stamped images and I like using something he once did ~ makes him feel close to me when I miss him. The fun flourishes are by Hero Arts. This stamp has some tiny dots in it so I used my smallest hole punch here and there to let the black cardstock peek through. I think this PTI: Love Lives Here sentiment works perfectly on this card.

Now before I go how about a peek at the real thing! Look at my little buddy...16 pounds of little muscle man legs, fun and fluff! This is in our backyard before his last hair cut. You know way back when our grass was lush and green before the heat wave and drought. It's currently in a brown and crunchy state!

Enjoy your weekend, I hope you have time to play along with us this week. Stop by to say hello to my teammates! ~Lisa

Love the photo of your little Max, and the story about your sons colored pencils. ;-)

And your card is so cool. Love how you worked in the polka dots and your coloring of the image. The sentiment is definitely a perfect match. Great job! ;-)

Wow, your little guy fits perfectly in the spellbinders frame! The flourishes on the white panel are so well placed, and add a lot of interest without overwhelming. Love it all!
