PDCC #141 ~ Home Sweet Home!

Hi there! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Sunday was another scorcher so after an early walk with Max we had some down time inside. I love being together in our little Home Sweet Home! Sure hate spending so many summer days indoors, but boy oh boy you just about melt if you're outside for very long! While my hubs worked on his photos I got in some card making. Here's one for the Play Date Cafe challenge ~  mint, soft yellow, coral and tulip...dreamy huh!

I decided to focus on the little floral pattern and the hominess of snuggling in to read a good book. Isn't this paper by Dear Lizzy just the sweetest! I fussy cut one of the little jars and added my Stamps by Judith cherries to it. They're glazed and the jar has a touch of glitter. My PTI: Love Lives Here house has glittery heart center as well. The blooms (Webster's Pages paper) die cuts are PTI as is the tiny tag. I used a MS border punch on the floral paper and added a strip of mint ribbon from the Dear Lizzy ribbon pack that coordinates with the paper collection. I picked up these pretty little yellow buttons while on a shopping trip with my mom. No sentiment on this one, I think it would work for a variety of occasions.

Blessings on your day friends ~Lisa

How adorable! Love those soft, pretty colors and patterns!
I hear you on the heat! It's strange feeling cabin fever during the SUMMER! Hope we can at least finish out the season with some bearable weather! :)

I totally know what you mean about spending many summer days indoors, but it's the same story here as where you are, Lisa. I miss having my windows open!

LOVE this card - it's sweet as can be. (just like you!)

I'm glad you played along with us at The Play Date Cafe this week. :)

Such a sweet card Lisa, those colours are so soft. You embellishments are so precious. Sam doesn't want to go out for a walk in this heat. When he gets home he flops on the ceramic tile because it is cold.

Soft, femine, delicate and oh so homespun. Great mix of elements, once again. I have trouble mixing and admire how beautifully you do this! Tiny tags are back!
