DeNami July Blog Hop!

Summertime summertime sum sum summertime! That's right friends it's a summertime blog hop with DeNami. If you've joined in the hop you should be arriving here from Kanani Kawamura's blog. If not grab yourself a refreshing summery drink, head over to DeNami and start at the beginning!

I have a fun little gift project to share today. This little number went together in a snap and I love the way it turned out. Now I just need a hostess or perhaps a new bride to give it to! While Max was being groomed a couple of weeks ago I headed to Target to pass the time (it was the only thing open at 8:00am!). This little red pail in their bargian area near the entrance caught my eye as soon as I walked in. Upon further investigation I found these cute recipe cards (complete with the sweetest polka dots & melon wedges!!!) and a little set of strawberry shaped sticky notes. For the mere sum of $4 I set my plan in motion!

I think it's pretty self explanatory. But here's the run down. I filled the pail with iridescent shredded fun then added my recipe cards that had been tied with twine. I stamped several DeNami strawberries, melon wedges and slices (all from the Petit Four: Tropical Fruit set) onto white card stock, colored them and then fussy cut them. I used my Quickie Glue Pen and glitter on them and glazed two of the berries.

I added this darling strawberry paper and some of the fruit to a tag from my stash along with a snippet of ribbon.  It's simply clipped to the cards with the tiny clothespin.

A PTI die cut picket fence was adorned green DP and more of the fruit. I just wove the pickets onto the cards.

Two PTI beautiful blooms II flowers were die cut, one from DP and one from white card stock (it's edged in a soft rosey pink ink). These were layered together with the glazed berries then added with foam tape to the sticky note pad.

Another PTI die cut backs my bottle cap magnet filled with a melon pink button and sparkly watermelon slice. I tied a simple twine bow to a pen then slid it onto the pail. Super easy and super cheap!

Thanks for hopping by now head over to the delightful Jane Smith's blog for some more refreshing summer fun!! ~Lisa
