CASology #1 & CQC #145 ~ Sending you Sunshine!

Where has the time gone? The days seem to be flying by so fast and my hubs will be heading back to work too soon. Our days have been filled with long walks, bike rides, road trips, spending some time on the boat and just relaxing. Good times!!!

Speaking of good times my sweet bloggy friends Tracey and Melissa are on the design team of a brand spankin new card challenge called CASology. I couldn't let the debut challenge slip by without playing along and giving them my support! I think my colors will also squeak by over at the ColourQ. So lets get to it shall we!

This new challenge gives you a cue card and you make your card based on the cue word. This week the word is sun. I went the route of sunflowers and a sunshine sentiment. I stamped and die cute my PTI simple sunflowers, popped up a couple and added my sentiment by arching part of it to follow the curve of my design. It's simple, cheerful and can be used for any occasion.

Thanks for taking a peek into my little corner of the world today. I've been trying to catch up with my visiting, hope I haven't missed anyone. Have a splendid day. We're off on another road trip to one of our favorite lunch spots! ~Lisa

Oh Lisa!!! I totally love this card! You did a wonderful job of pulling the colors together, I love the arrangement of flowers on the diagonal, and you totally rocked the "sun" challenge in a unique way! I might have to CASE this card, for a change I have all of these supplies. Thanks for the inspiration!

Aaah, Lisa, I was wondering who would be the first to incorporate sunflowers in their design {smiling}. This is so beautifully executed. Popping up two of the sunflowers just a little gave you some dimension. And the lovely rhinestones keep the soft curve flowing right into your sentiment which stops with the word, "Sunshine" and the rhinestone underneath could almost be the period at the end of that sentence. Wonderful flow to this design. One of my favorites this morning. I'm learning tons from this new challenge already!
