Greetings August I welcome you with open arms! What a glorious first day of August we had. It was a mild 83 degrees and none of that icky sticky humidity. My sweet boy Max and I enjoyed a leisurely comfortable walk this morning. The trees were alive with the songs of bugs and birds enjoying the breeze that blew gently among the leaves. Squirrels scampered about doing their usual busy work under a bright blue sky filled with lofty white puffy clouds. God bless you August! Let's celebrate you with a card shall we!
I've used a pretty mix of Echo Park papers and a sweet little bouquet by Impression Obsession along with my Inkadinkado sentiment. This card is for two challenges Retro Sketches and The Paper Players. Lesley has given us a fun Tic Tac Toe option this week. I chose to use the floral, ribbon and punches row. Three punches were used on my card ~ a MS lattice border punch, a corner rounder and a hole punch to string my bow around the flower stems. I love the colors of this paper, they remind me of watermelon. I'm kind of obsessed with it at the moment ~ HA!
May your August days be filled with blessings ~Lisa

I hear you, Lisa, God Bless August!!! Absolute favorite time of the year :) So fun that you made a card to celebrate!
Glad your August is off to a good start! Ours is still in the 100-degree range, and I cannot WAIT for the heat wave to clear out of here. And I am WAY behind on my blog reading! You have so many gorgeous cards over here - I'm an idiot for not coming around more often. I feel an Autumn slow-down on its way, though.
This card is certainly gorgeous. The colors are fabulous, and that little bouquet is just delightful! Great work. As always. ;-)
