CQC #170 ~ Love You!

The tiny snowflakes are dancing about as my hubby clears the drive, tosses snowballs to our snow crazed Max and takes him for a little sidewalk stroll. All of this on our first evening of 2013. The normal routine begins again tomorrow and I'll think about tucking all of the Christmas decorations away. Maybe I'll enjoy them another day or so. My mom never took anything down before New Years and I've kept with that tradition. They seem to add a sparkle to the quieter days following Christmas and a twinkle to the anticipation of beginning a New Year.

We hope this will be a brighter year for us. A long hard work day for my hubby with many hours apart ~ hopefully that will change, the loss of someone so precious and dear ~ she's always with us in our hearts, struggling to make sense out of this crazy world of ours and the sad misguided souls among it, putting our best foot forward to a healthy lifestyle, and continuing to put God first in our lives even when things get tough. He never gives us more than we can handle and He's given us each other.

I thought I would start my 2013 posting off with a challenge card. The ColourQ has given their designers the opportunity to look back over the past year and pick a color combo to work with. Then we get to pick one of theirs! I chose to go with my sweeter than sweet blogging friend Tracey McNeely's choice. 

 Piglet is by All Night Media, the flourish is Inkadinkado and the heart dies are PTI. The white I've used is the thread in my buttons! Now you might think this looks familiar...I decided to revamp the card I made last year using these very colors!
