Hello my sweet bloggy friends! I have a happy little number to share with you today that I made for the Retrosketches challenge. This week we are given a fun sketch designed by Laurie Wilson. And here's my take on it...
At first I thought this would be easy. I added my panels of DP from the BasicGrey: Wisteria collection, die cut and stamped my images and sentiment (all from PTI). Then I had this big ol' white space staring me in the face! Yikes...now what!!??!! I just couldn't wrap my head around all the white. Then a light bulb went off and my DeNami Large Dot Swirls stamp was the perfect solution. And now I'm a happy girl ~ yay! By the way I trimmed a bit from the bottom of my card since I have the die cut
extending a smidge beyond the top. This way it still fits in a regular
envelope.
Thanks for visiting today. I would like to give a big hello and warm welcome to my newest followers! Thanks for taking part in my blogging journey. I hope you enjoy your visits and let me know how I'm doing! ~Lisa

Cute card Lisa!
Well done for figuring out this sketch Lisa! I thought about it and gave up, the thought of all that white space was driving me nuts! Hey, then again, I suppose it does not have to be white! Thanks for the inspiration!
Can't take the white space, eh??? LOL Well, I do think the soft swirl was a nice way to ease your mind, but it would have been pretty either way! I think you chose the perfect color to bring it all together, too...Love it, Lisa!
That is a sweet take on the sketch, Lisa! Those colors are so rich. Great job on working that white space!
I like your interpretation of the sketch. Love that swirl! I have missed that one in their shop!
Beautiful Lisa, I love your patterned paper scalloped circle and the awesome swirl at the bottom--perfect finish!
Awesome card, and I love the punch of deep plum!
What a tough sketch, Lisa, but you did splendidly! LOVE your colors and paper and the DeNami medallion!
Excellent take on this challenge! Such a fun approach!
Great take on the sketch, Lisa. Also good idea to fill white space with that flourish.
I love these warm colors and your inspiring take on the sketch! Thanks for joining us at retro sketches!

Love the colors on this. I'm a big fan of white, so I guess I'd be happy with a bunch of white space (grin). But I like the flourish, too, especially in the coordinating color. It adds a nice touch. So, well done! ;-)
