MIM #103 & CQC #175 ~ Missing You!

Hi there blogging friends! I hope you're having a good week. We've been blessed with a couple of sunny days and let me tell you it sure feeds the soul! Max and I enjoyed a nice long walk this morning followed by some chasing of snowballs for my sweet boy. He is one snow crazed pup! How about a card today. I put this one together for the latest MIM over at Papertrey Ink and I used the colors from The ColourQ. Let me tell you they are tricky colors this week!
Betsy Veldman at PTI challenges us to double up our die cuts in creative ways. So I've used both my positives and negatives from the Love Lives Here butterfly and the smallest flower from Beautiful Blooms II. If you look close you'll see a couple of pink on pink blooms tucked behind the pocket. I knew I wanted to use my library pocket and spiral notebook dies. So I set out to put this color combination to work. I think I got it balanced out pretty well with a splash of orange and a touch of the brighter pink. There is also a strip of this darling DeNami polka dot Washi tape on the bottom of the notebook page.

Well I trust you'll let me know what you think, like I said the colors this week are a bit tricky!! Thanks for stopping by. I wish you a splendid day and hope you're enjoying sunshine in your neck of the woods! ~Lisa

First, I'm glad you've had some good weather to enjoy! It really does make a difference, now that we're in the bleak of mid Winter. ;-)

I think you did an amazing job of balancing the colors without letting the orange get out of control, so to speak. (LOL) You've done a beautiful job here. I love the elements you chose to work with - perfect selection. ;-)
