Well I almost missed the boat today! My sweet friend Ally posted a card for the PTI anniversary celebration going on and I forgot about it so I got myself busy!! Thanks Ally *wink* I have always been inspired by the creations of Melissa Phillips. So today I chose to use one of her cards and create a little something of my own. You can check out her little beauty here.
Doesn't this look like spring! I am SO ready for that to get here. This card was a bit of a challenge...not in the making...in the nerves. Our neighbor has a lab not quite a year old and it DOES not like to be put outside. This poor thing has been barking, whining, whimpering...you name it for over and hour! Glory be I thought I was going got come unglued LOL!!! I think mom is at work and the teen kids seem to tune out the fur buddy ~ JEEPERS!!!

Great take on Melissa's card-I recognized your inspiration right away, but I also really like how you made it your own.
Your card stood out from all the other photos on Nicole's blog, so I click to view it larger. Very impressive! Thanks for the inspiration. Denise in Australia :)
What a beautiful breath of spring air! Just as pretty as can be, love this one too Lisa!
Poor puppy! Hope its not too cold out for him or her.
Your card is beautiful Lisa, I agree with Marybeth a breath of spring air! The poor baby.
Lisa this is amazing! I love the colors and the dimension and all the little details! SUCH a gorgeous card!
So pretty Lisa! Love the beautiful butterfly!
LOL! Our neighbor's dogs like to do that at 6 am on Saturdays. Sigh. I feel for you.
Your card is absolutely gorgeous! LOVE this springtime palette, and all the layers and dimension is yummy! I'm a huge fan of Melissa's, too!
This is so gorgeous! Love the details, the colors, everything about it!!
Lovely card, Lisa! I can't imagine trying to craft and having to listen to a dog whining -- althought I'm told I'm pretty good at tuning things out while crafting! LOL!
Gorgeous! You made that layout of Melissa's shine with your creation...so warm and delightful. She would love it for sure! I do!! :)
Lisa, this is so pretty and perfect for Spring! I love the soft colors and the dimension from the butterfly. WE have a neighbor that occasionally leaves his barking dog outside as well. It frustrates me to no end! Have a great (hopefully much quieter) day today! :)
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL, Lisa! And, yes, so Spring-y...which looks good for a whole other reason;)!!! Love everything about this pretty creation! (I had forgotten it was time for the festivities to begin, too! I always enjoy it and hope I can find a little time to play along!)
What a beauty of a card, Lisa! It is like a breath of fresh spring air :-). Glad you were able to soldier on with this gorgeous creation even with the hubbub outside.
The beauty of working with color while crafting is that you can make it feel like which ever season you are longing for. Spring can definitely be felt with this card, Lisa. This card has a wonderful mix of colors and patterns.
Poor guy! :-S Hope he was taken indoors eventually...
And poor you! A girl's got to be able to concentrate! Right??
Actually, it doesn't look like it took much toll on you. This card is beautiful. I am totally with you on urging Spring to show up. And your card should definitely help. I love all the little elements you used - sweet butterfly, adorable tiny tag, gorgeous ribbon, perfect sentiment - you did good, girl. ;-)
Oh so shabby! I am smitten with your butterfly...and 'smile' tag...I must be the only PTI lover who does not own that stamp or die set...what's wrong with me!!! Beautiful layers, Lisa!
Looks like spring to me! Love the colors and the papers and the butterfly! Pretty card!
This is so beautiful and fresh! So lovely and a ray of sunshine which I have needed this week!
I hate when people are not good pet owners, such as the example of your neighbors. :( Makes me bummed. It happens everywhere, all the time. I hate that!
Your card, Lisa, looks like something out of CARDS magazine. YOu should try submitting it sometime soon. :)
