10MCD #16 ~ Hello!

Hey there peeps! My energy was seriously lacking yesterday so I decided I needed a jump start. I'm not a coffee drinker and sadly my little Hershey's Bliss didn't do the trick. What to turn to next...the frenzy of the 10 Minute Craft Dash of course!! Call me crazy but I needed a boost and these bright spring colors were just the trick.

I started with a leaf green card base topped with a shimmery bright pink panel. My Impression Obsession lilac was stamped in leaf green ink. The blooms were colored with a teeny weeny paint brush using warm violet chalk ink and a bit of green chalk was rubbed on the leaves. Some of you might remember this ribbon. I found a length of it on a walk with Max, just laying there pretty as can be getting rained on. This is my last snippet of it and as luck would have it it matched the bright pink cardstock perfectly! My little hello sentiment (Morningstar Stamps) fits neatly onto a PTI tiny tag. I used a tiny piece of foam tape to hold it in place to let the green peek through the heart.

And there you go...my jump start! Lets just say that taking my glasses off for a sec to see what in the world Max was barking at from his window turned into a serious dash! Now don't get excited, he was barking at a couple of silly crows in HIS yard. But I on the other hand put my glasses back on only to discover the tiny screw had fallen out and one of the arms fell off! Yikes my clock was ticking and I needed to see those itty bitty blooms!!! I ran to get my hubby's glasses. OY VEY!!! They're bifocals and I had to hold my head just right to see LOL!!! Oh what a trip this dash turned out to be. But hey...it did the trick and this gal was movin and grovin!!! Have a happy day friends ~Lisa

LOL! I love love love your story at the end-- I can totally picture you running to get your husband's glasses and trying to finish your card in time!! Good for you for not stopping the timer! And Max-- I wish he could meet my dog, Olsen!! They sound like they are brothers:) Barking at anything in their yard.... and sometimes Olsen barks just because;) LOL!

I really should try a dash challenge. Maybe one of these days-- I bet I would love them! Or hate them since I'm always overthinking my design! LOL!

Anyway--- back to your card:) I LOOOOOOOOVE these colors together! I love that the pink paper shines!!! LOVE the little ribbon with the safety pin! I must get some of those;) FAB job!! Congrats on 10 minutes:)

Oh I'm laughing out loud! How in the heck you made this in under 10 minutes using hubby's glasses for the tiny blooms--amazing, Lisa! Glad Max was on his toes protecting his space! Your card is so lovely & lilacs are so special to me--may have to see about getting that stamp. Thanks for the inspiration.

Gracious me! It's impossible for me to even complete a card in 10 minutes, and you did all that ;)! LOL! It screams springtime, and I really adore that pinned sentiment! So pretty! Hey, and thank you, too, for all the love you left me on the Wplus9 Design Blog! Hugs!

Lisa, I would be totally impressed that you completed this card in 10 minutes -- without all the drama! But I especially love that you didn't give up despite your barking dog and broken glasses! :) (I only wish you had videotaped the whole scene! :)

Love your card! That little tag sentiment is so dang cute! :)

Oh my word, that sounds like a stressful craft dash - LOL. ;-) Your card doesn't look like you were phased by it at all, though. It's so very lovely. I love how you colored the flowers, and the ribbon coordinates beautifully. LOVE that little tiny tag with the clip - perfectly situated. Nice job with your dash! Now you'll need a nap to recuperate, right? ;-)
