CCC #45, CQC #190 & PP # 146 ~ King For a Day!

Hi there! We have some muggy hot temps hanging around here so that means it's a perfect time to stay in, stay cool and stamp! CASology has a new cue word {royal} and ColourQ has a new set of colors. I knew I wanted to use my crown stamp for the royal challenge and the colors seemed masculine to me. I don't do many masculine cards, so this was a TRUE challenge! And what better timing, the Paper Players has a CAS masculine card challenge this week! Here's what I came up with.

I thought this would be a great Father's Day card or even a birthday card for one of the many male summer birthdays in our family. I discovered when making this that I don't have much in the way of the color rust.  I did have a few scraps to make the little banners and my SIL (aka:stamping buddy) gave my a package of pretty little sequins in assorted colors. These look rust to me! I made the sentiment on the computer, then stamped my crown by Moon Rose. I picked up this pretty flourish (American Crafts) at Hobby Lobby a while back and thought it looked sort of regal! I brought in just a wee bit of Baja Breeze to adorn my crown with precious gems!

Royally masculine dontcha think!!! Thanks for popping in today. I hope you're having a good week. ~Lisa

Now this is fantastic...I cringe at "man" cards. I make them usually on demand...ugh! You do it beautifully!
