Hi there! It's time for the second Pin-spired post from the DeNami design team. When I saw this photo that Paulina discovered on Pinterest I knew I wanted to create something other than a card. The pretty rosettes have been changed up just a bit. I stayed true to the colors of the photo but came up with a unique package topper. Take a look...
This started out with a metal ring I've been hanging onto for quite some time. I knew it would come in handy for something! The Washi Tape was added to thin cardstock then die cut with a banner die. I simply placed them around the ring and held the two sides together with Scor Tape. I started with a row of longer banners alternating the colors. Once I had the ring covered I added a row of shorter banners. After this was completed I glued a doily to the top.
My final layer is made with four scallop punched circles that I folded over on themselves to make a bloom of sorts . I fold the circle in half, open it, then gently push the sides in so you end up with out a crease on top. Draw pencil lines on the center of a smaller circle and glue the four folded pieces to it. I just love the dimension this has! The twine on the button was threaded through the bloom and tied on the bottom.
Now what to do with this snazzy little creation? Place it on top of a Boutique Box that had been filled with one of my favorite treats ~ chocolate covered strawberries! The bottom of the box is lined with a pretty square paper doily. I didn't have to worry about who this was going to. Right after the photo was taken my hubby and I snuggled in to watch a movie. The strawberries never stood a chance *wink* !!! But the box and fun topper will go to someone special. Not sure what will go in the box since chocolate covered strawberries do seem to disappear from our house rather quickly!!!
