MIM #119 ~ Just Because!

Sigh...I do love the vintage feel of October Afternoon paper. The particular snippets I've used on this card remind me of an old fashioned ice-cream parlor! Must be the stripes I guess. I put this card together for Papertrey Ink's latest Make It Monday. Dawn demonstrated a fun flagged border card on her video and I wanted to give it a try.

As I mentioned these are OA papers. The fronts and backs of two papers to be exact.  They both had tiny red flowers and they both had tiny green leaves, so I felt they went together beautifully! The pink stripe that I used to attach my hand cut banners to is also OA. A length of pompom trim, some warm brown ink along all of the edges and my PTI sentiment finish things off nicely!

And there you have it, my MIM entry! Have yourselves a delightful day and thank you so much for visiting!! ~Lisa

It definitely made me think of an ice cream parlour Lisa! But it's winter here so no ice-cream for me! I love their paper too, it has a very definite vintage look and feel. Love how you rolled those banners!

Thought I'd leave a comment or you'd never know how any of us felt! Well the comments certainly tell you that you hit it out of the park. Not only are your paper choices spot on, but your distressing of the edges is so skillfully done that I didn't realize just how much they contributed to the look, until I read your text! (I must practice my distressing more often.) Thanks for sharing your glorious creation.
