Your Input Please!

Hi friends and a happy Saturday to all! Our Thanksgiving was just wonderful, filled with family, food and fun! Then of course their was the yummy turkey sandwich and slice of pumpkin pie to be had on Friday mmm mmm!!!

I don't have a card to share today, have taken a crafting break for the holiday! But I do have an important question.

I would love your thoughts and input on paper trimmers. I'm in need of one and would appreciate the input. I don't have a lot of space so it can't be a really big one!

So just what kind do you use?

I have used them all, Lisa. I have to say, my favourite is the new Stampin' Up one. It was just on sale too! But it is well worth the $. It is perfect for card makers.

I use a Fiskars guillotine trimmer. I love it, but it's large. About 17x14 in at its widest points

Hard decision as there are so many different ones, but I have loved my Tonic guillotine trimmer...Very accurate and there even a smaller version if space is an issue. Let us know which one you end up with!

I have the Fiskars Sure Cut 12" trimmer. Jennifer McGuire had included it in her "favorite things" post a year or two ago. Ii find the guide very helpful in cutting. I do use titanium blades.

Good luck, Lisa! I have 4 or 5 & none are as good as I'd like. I hear the guillotine are more accurate, but I like to cut 3x4 or whatever--not just the whole way down the paper. I've been using Fiskars with the Titanium blade & the silver line down the center that's supposed to show you were the blade is--not exact, though.

I have had SEVERAL trimmers-- and my fav is the Fiskars paper trimmer. It's about 20 bucks at Michael's (and you can use a coupon to get it cheaper).... if it breaks or has a problem, you just contact Fiskars and they will send you a new one or replace what's broken (like the wire for the trimmer or the board cover). I love mine!

Hope you find a trimmer you love:)

I've tried at least 6 different trimmers. My two favorites are Stampin' UP! and Fiskars.

The SU trimmer has a long track so you can keep your scoring blade and cutting blade in the track at the same time! Very handy. Nice clean, straight cuts.

The fiskar's trimmer I like is a little bit wider and it has a wire cord down the track so you can see EXACTLY where you are cutting. I LOVE that! I use the sharper, more expensive blade with this one. I don't like the other one as well.

Good luck on your choice!

I use the fiskars with the titanium blades too! I like that they put the blades on sale regularly so you never have to pay full price! I have guillotine tonic trimmer too but don't use it much!! :)

OK, I HAD NO IDEA there was a titanium blade for the Fiskars rotary trimmer. This is HUGE! I am so frustrated with my trimmer and how it does not cut well. Just ordered a pack on Amazon. Can't wait to try it!!! Thanks for asking the question, Lisa : )
