Craft Storage Ideas Blog Hop!

Welcome to the first ever CSI Blog Hop!!!

We're showcasing our favorite craft storage or organization items from our own craft rooms!  The hop starts at Craft Storage Ideas so if you would like to start from the beginning head on over to CSI. Our hop is sponsored by OrganizeMore.com. There are give-a-ways all week long from OrganizeMore.com, Silhouette and some of the team CSI contributors are offering blog candy!

Here's what I have to share with you today. I store my dies in two Martha Stewart Recipe tins. That's right...Miss Martha strikes again!!

The tins are a bit larger then a typical recipe box measuring 6.25" x 4.5" x 4.75". They come with divider cards that are printed with usual recipe words. I just flip them over to write the names/categories of my dies. When those run out I cut more from inexpensive card stock.

My dies are are placed in plain white envelopes from Office Max. I trim about 1  1/2" off of the top (this removes the flap), then I add a strip of clear packaging tape over the center seams to make it a bit sturdier. Trimming the envelopes lets them sit lower than the dividers making the index label visible. The name of the company and the dies are written on the envelope. Extra envelopes are kept in the back of the box.

I trim off the ziplock portion of the platsic bag the dies are shipped in and slip this inside the envelope. Extra die cuts can be kept here as well.

 Now how about some blog candy from me!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As many of you know I'm a fan (understatement!!) of polka dots.
I have one prize package containing a plethora of polka dots up for grabs!
One random winner will be announced on {Friday March 28th} from all comments on this post. Please remember I must have a way to contact you!
Love this die organization using envelopes. Do you organize by manufacture too? or just by categories? Thank you for sharing your organization tip.
Oh my goodness, what a fantastic way to store smaller dies. I am in the process of redecorating and reorganising my craft room (what an ordeal!) and I was a little stuck for ideas as to what to do with my thinlits dies and smaller dies. This is a fantastic idea. Thank you so much for sharing. Right....Its back to the slog of the craft room redo....after I check out the other girls ideas first.....they will most likely come in handy. Lisa, I don't think I've ever seen Martha's recipe tins, but I sure do like your idea! I also have many of the small embossing folders (Cuttlebug) that just seem to sift to the bottom of the drawer and never get used-- this idea would solve THAT problem, too. Thanks for the tip!
Best Wishes,
Mary
