Welcome to My World ~ Part Two!

Hi there, ready for part two of {My Little Art Studio}? This time I've broken down the items on the upper shelves and desktop for you.

009

My desk top (pre-made formica countertop purchased at Lowes) holds my die cutting machine, a clear glass vase for border dies and a galvanized container from JoAnn that houses 8 1/2" x 11" colored cardstock in pretty geranium file folders. A red wire basket containing a trio of Pottery Barn galvanized buckets that hold various pens, markers and hand tools (scissors, hole punches...).

See the stack of clear boxes to the right?
They're ArtBin boxes that hold my ink pads.

The boxes with no dividers will hold 18 PTI ink pads or 10 rectangular pads like Memento, Memories or Versa Mark. You can find these at JoAnn.

This one with dividers is perfect for the small Color Box cat's eye & Versa Magic dew drops ink pads.

And now to the upper shelves.

010 copy (1)

The top shelf holds lesser used item. The square plastic boxes in the center came from Archivers. They hold fabric, patterns & magazines. The large galvanized tubs are from Northline Express and are actually wood bins. I found them online, they're really light weight and have lids. One holds floral design supplies and the other gift wrapping supplies.

I found the geranium nesting boxes at TJ Max. I keep curling ribbons, small seldom used craft supplies and larger rolls of ribbon in them. The silver photo boxes are from Ikea and they actually hold photos...go figure!

Call me sentimental, but I have a few special items on the shelves too. The red polka dot flower pots are left over from a  Mothers' Club brunch I chaired when our son was in high school. They held large fabric & paper blooms for a spring fashion show!

One of the clear bottles holds tiny hemlock pine cones from our son and daughter-in-law's first home. And if you look really hard you can see a tiny porcelain Mickey & Minnie Mouse from a big family trip to Disney World several years ago. Minnie Mouse...polka dot skirt...just sayin'!

And that finishes up part two! Tomorrow I'll show you more of what is at either end of my desk. I have a couple of great storage tips to share. See you then ~Lisa

I have enjoyed your little tour. I cannot believe that it is a closet. There is so much stuff there, and it is all organized so nicely. Want to come over to my place?

You have such an eye for perfection and everything having it's place. I sure wish you could come visit me and and helping me find it's home. I have pulled apart and rearranged and I am in the process of pulling apart again. I really should not have done this because I have not got it back together and I am not sure I like where it's headed. Ugh. I just can't get a right feel for what works. Between the right storage for stamps. (where do you store your DeNami images)

Hi Jessica! Thanks for stopping by to check out my art studio. The countertop is a pre-made formica one we purchased at Lowes. If you don't have a Lowes, try Home Depot or a home improvement store.
