cQc #259 ~ Sending a Hug!

Well hello there and a happy Tuesday! It's that time of week again, a new challenge is up at the ColourQ. Time to get inky and play along!

I have to admit that this card took me MUCH longer than I would have liked! I couldn't get the right balance with the colors. I had light pink centers for my sunflowers (PTI) to begin with and everything just looked dull. Once I added the deep purple everything else started o make sense! The icing on the cake was the addition of my Pretty Pink Posh Marshmallow sequins (4mm & 6mm). They truly brought this card to life!

Hop on over to the CQC blog and check out what the team has to share. I sure do love working with this talented group of ladies! Have a great day ~Lisa

Lisa, you bring colors to life! This looks amazing! I hate when something takes longer then it should. Most of the time, it's my cleaner or more "simpler looking" cards, and they weren't so simple. I really love how you used the colors, and the addition of the ribbon pieces tucked in is a fabulous touch!

Moving those colors around sure did the trick. Using ribbon for leaves is a brilliant idea.

I'm terrible at color challenges , I can see your dilemma, but you pulled it off and made a stunning card and I like the dark centers!!!

I think the dark purple on the flower centers was the right way to go because these flowers just pop! And the scattering of sequins is delightful!

I like how you interpreted the colors from the challenge. The deep purple flower centers worked out really well...they do rather look like a brown shade.
