Paper Players #248 ~ Captured!

Hello my sweet bloggy friends! Today is my first official post as a guesting design team member with the Paper Players!! This week's theme is masculine cards.

My son gifted me with this pirate ship stamp (A La Art) years ago for Mother's Day. I will never part with it. A few years after that I bought the corked bottle (Just for Fun Stamps) while on a stamp shopping outing with my SIL: AKA stamping buddy! I think the two were meant to be used together, how about you!! I added this pair to a card base covered with Authentique paper and some cork. I used a PPP Stitched Borders 1 die to create the arched edges. I like the 'captured' (Precious Remembrance Shop) sentiment and arrows with these images.

I'll be linking this up with SSS Wednesday challenge: Make it Masculine.

I'm happy you took some time from your day to visit with me!
I appreciate it more than you know ~Lisa

Excellent card! I would buy that in a heartbeat for either of my brothers, who were involved in the military.

I grew up in a boating, fishing family. This card really touches my heart. You have an excellent sense of design and style.

Wonderful!

Most definitely made for each other, Lisa! How great is that? What a great kid you have! Love this ... can you believe their is a brown ink called "Sparrow brown" wouldn't that be great for a Captain Jack-esque ship?

Congratulations on your GD spot. And, those images are totally made for each other. I thought it must be one stamp. This is about as masculine as it gets, and very perfect for the challenge. Really love how you used the cork.
