Unplugged!

Hi there!! Just thought I would share what I've been up to for the past week. We took a vacation to the Outer Banks of North Carolina! My parents along with our son, daughter-in-law and little Sweet P stayed in a brand new beautiful rental home. Three stories, each bedroom and the living room opening on to their own deck, with a crow's nest deck that is now the highest point on the Outer Banks!

This was the view looking toward the ocean. I know many like ocean front property, but I really enjoyed this spot. We weren't far from the ocean at all and it was very peaceful here. Perfect for the baby's first vacation!

This was the view from the living room deck as well as our bedroom deck! Shhhh Michele, don't show this to Tom ~ hehe!! My hubby and our son got in a round of golf. They called us when they arrived here at the eight hole so we could watch!

And this was where we all spent a lot of time!! How fun to wake up, brush your teeth and go jump in the private pool!!

Sweet P had a full length swim suit to protect her from the sun ~ with polka dots too! Doesn't she look adorable in her beach hat!! You should have seen those little legs go, she had a good time. They also bought her a floaty thingy with a canopy to protect her from the sun and 90 degree temps. She played with her blocks while floating about!! She liked the pool better than the beach. The sound of the ocean scared her, poor little baby.

I had posts scheduled and ready to go while I was away. I took my laptop, but once I got there I decided to completely unplug and it felt great!! I'll try to get caught up with everyone. But in case I don't get around to all of your blogs and posts I know you all made MANY MANY fabulous and perfectly wonderful things to share while I was away.

Thanks so much for stopping by, I've missed you all ~Lisa

Looks like a fabulous vacation, Lisa! I'm with you about location - I like to be near the action but just far enough away for a bit of peace. :) We spent 10 days in a rental house in Vermont in July and it was off in it's own in the woods with a pond. So perfect… And as for Sweet P? Too cute for words!
