Hubby Made Me a Card!!

Hey there peeps!! Do I have a treat for you today. I celebrated my birthday recently and my guy made me a card!! With no help from me, he did this all on his own and I think he did such a GREAT job!!!

Isn't it cute!!! Look at the techniques he used that he didn't even know were techniques!! He used selective inking on the bunny, there are four on the stamp. He paper pieced that flower pot, yup my guy was a fussy cutter!! The flowers are one stamp stamped three times. Pretty good placement huh.

Hind sight, he says, the button was a mistake. He meant for it to be the sun, but decided later that it was lacking rays. He didn't want to go back to add them in, he thought he would mess up his work!! When I showed him this post he cringed at his button again!! Oh yeah...this one is special...I do love him so!!!

Our son was his critic telling him his color choices could have been a bit better! Hey, it took him an hour and a half. He also told him that he's gonna be in hot water with the other husbands who will be asked why they don't make birthday cards LOL!!! Oh the pressure!!!

I know he's anxious for comments. Shhhh, don't tell him I told you!! ~Lisa

I LOVE this card!! I took up paper-crafting about 5 years ago and my stuff never looks this good!! If your husband keeps this up, we are going to start wanting to see a few technique videos from him---even if he doesn't know what the techniques are!! lol

Well, regardless, you have a keeper no matter how it would have turned out just for the beauty in expression for wanting to do something so meaningful for you. Now, this looks better than 90% who go to a card/stamp workshop for the first time!!!! Amazing job!

And Happy Birthday my friend! You are blessed as many of us are blessed for having crossed paths with you!

I can't decide if you are lucky because you have a man who will share your interests. Or whether you are unlucky because you might find him in your crafting space using your crafting supplies more than you might like!! He did well!
