cQc #351 ~ Do Something New Every Day!

Hi! Ready for a new color palette from ColourQ?  I will be the first to admit that this one was difficult for me. I'm not a purple or a teal fan and this week has both!! But hey, that's why it's called a challenge right!! Once I wrapped my brain around it I came up with something acceptable. Well....that is except in the eyes of my in house critic LOL!! He didn't care for it!!

I started with a white panel and the feather from Precious Remembrance Shop's DIY stamp set. I stamped the sentiment from the set using Bermuda Bay ink. Next came some splatters from the PRS Positive Thoughts stamp set. A sprinkling of Pretty Pink Posh Gold Mini Heart Confetti mimics those "sort of hearts" in the feathers from the inspiration photo. It's not exactly me, but I made it, so I have to own up to it LOL!!

I'm off to the dentist today for a cleaning.
I live such an exciting life, haha!! ~Lisa

Lisa! you are a splattering ROCK STAR! loving this beautiful card but then again I LOVE teal (kinda with you on purple) but you really did a fantastic job with this challenge. I especially like the addition of the gold stripe and gold hearts is sweet.

Your in house critic is too critical. I love the look of this. It's very fun and wild.

You tell the 'in house critique' he's got it wrong, Lisa ... did you show him the inspiration photo? The feathers are perfect, and so are your colorful spatters! You've set that challenge on its ear! xx

I love it too....it is out of your normal stamping style, but I love the feathers and the "randomness" of it all! It makes me happy!

The house critic is spot on about this one! I love the little splashes of blue and how the feathers look like very artsy splashes of their own. The little gold stripe on the left completes this perfectly! Boy, I love this card!

I can't believe these aren't your colors, Lisa--you used them so beautifully! For once I disagree with your in-house critic as I truly love this card! Good we all have different taste--makes things so much more interesting! Now if I could just find a DT with my taste--haha!
