A Redo!

Hi! I have a card for you today that had a bit of a make-over. The original was made for ColourQ, you can see it here. I had the focal circle images on a square card base. That never really thrilled me, it seemed too confined.

Sadly, I was in need of a sympathy card for my niece. She recently lost a good friend to an act of domestic violence. Death at any age is always hard for us. But a young woman of 25 lost to something so horrific is heart wrenching.

I added the Copic/water colored lilacs (IO) to a larger card base with a couple of paper doilies and Pretty Pink Posh Sparkling Clear Sequins (4mm, 6mm & 10mm). The sentiment is PTI. I like the more feminie look of this card.

Thanks so much for stopping by today friends. It always brings a smile to my face to see you have spent a bit of your day with me. ~Lisa

What a sad thing to have happened!! This is a stunning card. I love the way you offset the stamped circle with the maroon card stock and that doily. This re-do is lovely!!

So tragic & hard to understand how people can be so evil. I loved the first card, but the re-do is even more beautiful, Lisa! I really love the aqua layer & your use of doilies!

I liked the original, but your eye for design just made it even more beautiful, Lisa, with a little 'breathing' room for that gorgeous circle of lilacs. I am so sorry to hear that your niece has experienced such a thing in her young life. So sad for that young girl's family, isn't it? you have the most loving, caring heart, my friend... xx

Such a sad situation, Lisa. But I know that this lovely card will convey compassion and caring, and hopefully ease the way a bit for its recipient. Love the little touch of the doily peeking out!
