12 Kits of Occasions ~ December 2016

Note: I have something odd going on with my blog design so I've put a temporary blogger template up. I know things still look a bit off, but at least the pesky triangles with exclamation points are gone.

Hi friends! We're closing out 2016 with the last group post of the year from The 12 Kits of Occasions.

Jessica's is our hostess this month sending us a kit full of awesomeness!! I used each and every one of her cutie patootie polar bears! Just take a look!!

This bear is skating on a vellum pond with a PPP die cut edge and twinkling stars. He has a bit of frosty sparkle on his nose and skates.

This one was added to a trio of PPP die cut tags. I thought the knit embossing folder went well with the polar bear.

I will probably set this one aside for Sweet P to give to her mommy for Valentine's Day! I gave the bears an icy patch to sit on using PPP seed beads. I flooded the area with Tombow glue and pushed them in. Worked like a charm!

This one is my hubby's fave. Don't the flourishes from the sentiment look fun wrapped around the mountains!!

I added some solid gold paper from my stash to the pretty patterned one Jessica sent. They're die cut with a PTI snowflake.

The penguins in the kit were too fun to pass up too!

After fussy cutting and coloring this cool dude, he was put on a wobbler! I used this nifty DP to create his ski slope. To me it looks like those mogul bumps. You know, the event where skier's knees look like they're on springs LOL!!

I placed this chilly willy to look like he's snowboarding off the sentiment. Not sure if he likes it, he looks a bit wide eyed and nervous!!

I'm off to see what the team has created.
Tag along with me to check out the awesome inspiration!!

Wow, Lisa! You've outdone yourself. All your cards are fantastic and since I just got the Polar Bear set (am waiting on the die) I'm pinning a couple of these for inspiration.

Good Morning, Miss Lisa. Your cards are awesome, where to begin!?!?!? You gave each critter his (or her) own winsome personality. Love them all! Mama and baby are so sweet on their bed of sugary snow!!! The flourish from your sentiment wrapped around the snowcapped mountain is genius. And the golden snowflakes behind the waving bear with the sweet heart is pure perfection!!!! Wow and wow!

Again, you ROCKED it out. Such adorable use of the fun bears. Happy New Year to you - I look forward to your 2017 creations.

ps - My view your blog background is filled with exclamation triangles, and I am popping over to visit your blog. -- did you try to change something? Very bizarre.

WOW!~ So many LOVES here.. you have such a great eye for detail Lisa.. All the stars everywhere make these look like magical scenes.. like with the bear skating, and the penguin snowboarding. I love the gold die cut snowflakes behind the bear - this makes him the center of attention - king of the winter wonderland. and the adorable bear sitting by the mountains.... how you wrapped the words around the mountains.. brilliant! I love them all!!

Lisa, AHHHH! This post is full of so much cuteness, I LOVE all the cards!!!! I think my favorite is the one with the mountains, I love how you took the sentiment and wrapped it around them like that, I SO need to copy that, it looks so cool! Next is the tiny polar bear on the tag, so sweet how he is on the tiny tag and then you had all the others scattered behind. The first card is amazing, I love the vellum and how you put the stars coming out behind the ice skate! The bear on the snowflakes AWWW and I love the modern art pop look of the skiing penguin one and the coloring on the last one is just the bomb...you took my kit and did amazing things, my dear!
