You put a song in my heart ~ XOXO

Hey there! After seeing the sketch for this week's Freshly Made Sketches I had an idea pop into my head using hearts for a valentine. After I finished it, I realized I could make a second card for the Twofer Card Challenge using that same heart. So here you go!

I used a PTI heart die to make my own stencil. That stencil, and some masking, led to several overlapping hearts. I added some DeNami sentiments and tiny hearts then die cut the top edge with a PPP border die. and viola, a valentine!

For my twofer, I used the same heart die to cut some sweet PPs. My new MFT stamp and die set provided the bird, flower and sentiment.

Once a month or so, I send Sweet P some happy mail. Always something different. A highlights magazine (I have a subscription for her), a coloring book, stickers, or maybe a little treat. Just something fun from gramma and papa. This card will get tucked into one of those to let her know we're thinking of her!

Enjoy your weekend!
We're picking up my new car tomorrow ~ yay!!

Oh Lisa...I am absolutely LOVING both your cards and how perfect for The Twofer Challenge! Your Valentine card with the over-lapping stenciled hearts is SOOOO pretty! I'm loving the soft colors and all the sentiments you added, and of course the decorative die cut edge at the top! And your card for little Sweet P just couldn't be any sweeter with your PP hearts and adorable MFT birdie! Lovely, lovely cards my friend!! :0)

We've often sent magazine subscriptions or the magazine themselves to our grandchildren over the years. I like to think that when the little ones got their own mail, they felt extra special! I'm sure your Sweet P adores getting goodies from you and This card will surely delight her to no end! Darling bird, beautifully colored, and the embossing behind it is sooo perfect! Such a sweet Valentine. Love the stencil you've created with that die, and those hearts look like candy hearts! Perfect use of that FMS sketch as one of your Twofers, too! Two fabulous cards, Lisa! Love 'em. Thanks for joining us at The Twofer Challenge. Bev

I always love your card designs, Lisa! Lots of white space, embossing, subtly colors, and with kind and loving messages, those are your trademarks and they are perfectly displayed with these darling Twofers! I love that you turned the FMS on its side and made this stenciled heart Valentine (and I think you got robbed with the results)! Seeing your second design and hearing your plans gives me the pleasure of imagining Sweet P's face when she gets her happy mail from you and Papa.😊 She will adore that little birdie singing her heart out! Thank you so much for playing in Twofer's 2nd Blogaversary challenge! Hugs, Darnell (Ooooh, exciting, can't wait to see a picture of your new car!)

These are both adorable, Lisa ... the stencilled, layered hearts looks so full and plump ... rather balloon-like and so festive for Saint Valentine's Day! What a cutie that little owl is, singing sweetly against that pretty pp heart ... delicious texture, lovely layering and a heartfelt sentiment ... Sweet P will love it! Hope you love that new car too! Thanks so much for playing along with us at Twofer! Hugs, Anita :)

Those overlapping hearts are wonderful, Lisa. The colors look so good together and the little sentiments work well with them. The little bird is darling perched on the hearts and the embossed background give a feminine look to the card. Perfect for Miss P.
