A Little Note

Hey there, how's everybody holding up? We're doing as well as can be expected during this difficult time. Missing family and feeling the need to hold those we love in our arms. Card making does clear my mind a bit. I have one ready for the CAS(E) this Sketch gallery.

I toned down the business of the colorful honeycomb paper with a slip of linen vellum. A MFT peek-a-boo window serves as the square layer from the sketch. The blooms are older PTI and the bees by PPP.

My favorite in house critic gave his input last night prompting me to make a change this morning. His response on the revision... "Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then". He's an ornery one and he keeps me laughing!!!

God bless friends and be safe.

I looked at that sketch & had no idea where to start! Your card is one of my Lisa Favorites! Didn't know there was such a thing as linen vellum--love it! Beautiful honeycomb paper & love how you stamped the flowers! Wonderful coloring of those darling bees! Thinking of you & your family with continued wishes for good health! Hugs, Greta

Aww, I am sure that card was perfect just the way it was....but this one is pretty sweet too! I think I have some pretty honeycomb papers somewhere, I should dig them out as you've inspired me!

BEE-utiful!!! I'm not sure what the revision was, but you tell Mr. Ornery to leave the card making to the pro in the house, okay? It's perfect in every way!! Thanks so much for playing along at CTS, Lisa! xx

I don't know what Mr. Ornery's problem was either, but I think your card is ADORABLE...especially those bee's with the sweet rosy cheeks! Love the honeycomb DSP with the vellum overlay too! Cute, CUTE card Lisa! Hugs!! :0)

Too fun! Love the busy paper, but also that's it's toned down to transition to the cute bees! Your critic is quite funny too

I'd bet anything he wanted that bee to find the flower. Am I right, Lisa? I would have loved it any way and give you credit for figuring out how to use that sketch. Multiple layers used to by my style and now I find them difficult.

This makes me so happy!! I love how you used the vellum for your second piece of paper. Your bees are adorable. I didn't do this sketch this week as I just couldn't make it work. I LOVE your design!!
