Happiness Blooms From Within

The Flower Challenge is asking for flowers in shades of purple. My favorite flowers are lilacs and they just happen to grow in various shades of purple. So here ya go!

I stamped my IO lilacs on a two white panels. Using watercolor pencils and a water brush, I gave one a light purple wash, the other a few shades darker. The second panel was die cut with a PTI tag. I layered everything onto my card base with some SU tulle ribbon and a couple of punched (MS) butterflies.

Two of our neighbors have lilac bushes with huge dark purple lilacs that are just beautiful. But you know what, they have no scent whatsoever! Who knew!

Beautiful, Lisa! I can smell those lilacs from here... Your card, it is perfect with the light background and stunning foreground lilacs. We have some dark purple lilacs but they definitely have scent, you can smell them from country blocks away -- a neighbor comes and helps herself to some every year to take to her mom!

Absolutely BEAUTIFUL card Lisa!! I love Lilacs too and we have two bushes at our house, but for some reason neither one bloomed last year...grrrrr!! Hoping for a better year this year as I just love their tiny purple blossoms and of course that wonderful smell! Your card is a definite winner in my book!! Hugs. :0)

Just love that tulle bow & your coloring, Lisa! Beautifully feminine card! Sure hope my double lilac has a lot of blooms this year! It isn't as fragrant, but it's so beautiful!

This is absolutely lovely. I love how the background is a muted version of the images on the tag. And the butterflies are a wonderful accent.

So pretty, Lisa. About your neighbor's lilacs, I guess if you have one gorgeous bush that has no scent, if you have room, you should plant one that gives off a magnificent perfume!
