Well I don't know how long it will last but it's a warm sunny day! Today's card shows a technique I picked up from PTI designer Heather using the reverse side of a metal die to emboss. I thought the sunny yellow butterflies and little wispy wildflowers reflected my feelings for this pretty spring day.

The decorative papers I used are from the Cosmo Cricket Earth Love mini deck. Soooo cute! The butterflies were die cut with my Paper Trey Ink die from the Love Lives Here die set in the matching paper as well as the harvest gold felt from PTI. This technique was shown using a die with no pin hole. The butterfly has one due to the tiny heart cut out in the center. So when doing the embossing technique the pin hole shows up as an indent. I solved that problem by adding the tiny felt hearts from the die cuts!

I like the dimension of the decorative butterfly with its popped up wings over the felt layer. The sentiment is a stamp from The Rubber Cottage. It suits this card so well. Enjoy and have a super day. My hubby, little Max & I off to find spring flowers to photograph ~ Lisa
