CFC #24 ~ Scaredy Cat!

Hope everyone had a happy Monday! We had a break from the rain with a sunny blue sky kind of day! I have a non-traditional card for the CAS-ual Fridays challenge. This week we are to make a Halloween card without using the color orange...none...not a speck!!

Now I know you've seen this black scaredy cat before; but I must confess that you could hold all of my Halloween stamps in the palm of your hand LOL! Anyway...this card is a total departure from your traditional Halloween type of card. Aren't these colors fun! I've used one of my favorite October Afternoon papers here; this splendid argyle pattern (yes; I broke down and cut into that 12x12!). I cut a strip of PTI felt with pinking shears then added a couple of Cosmo Cricket: wanted collection buttons. I stamped the scaredy cat from Inkadinkado in black ink, punched with a Marvey oval punch then added the charcoal grey scalloped oval (also Marvey) behind it. I punched another scalloped oval in a matching shade of blue to give a bit of shadowing when layering this to the card. I love the way this card turned out...hope you like it too! Take care my friends ~Lisa

What a darling card! It would be great for a male adult with that argyle pattern (love those colors!), and how clever of you to make a shadow from the blue punched cardstock. I thought it WAS a shadow!

Super card, Lisa. I really like the card without orange. The LO is fantastic, I can think of a bunch of stamps to put on that oval! TFS
